An explanation of the highway and the agricultural highway, what is the difference between them, and how to behave while driving on them, which will benefit the trainee and the reader, as I will explain everything that helps the driver while driving his vehicle.
First, we will talk about driving on highways
Highway: It can have three lanes to drive on
The maximum speed is 120 km per hour and it is considered an international road
It has a straight and wide extension and does not have any intersections with other roads
It also has no obstacles, barriers, or opposite traffic fields
You do not have the right to stop or turn through gaps for emergency, police or works vehicles .

Acceleration field to enter the highway
As a driver, you must adapt your speed to the rest of the traffic on the highway. You must not enter the acceleration field and remain at a slow speed. This will cause traffic obstruction or accidents that end in disaster. Therefore, you must adapt your speed to the rest of the traffic.
When driving on the highway, you must leave a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front of you and place your vehicle in the middle of your driving lane so that you are safe and do not forget when you want to overtake. You must apply the steps of the overtaking process, which are:
- Leave enough distance between you and the vehicle in front of you so that the road ahead is open and clear
- Look in the center mirror and the left side mirror to make sure that there are no vehicles overtaking at the same time you want to overtake
- Look at the dead corner by turning your head to your left shoulder until you see if there is a car next to you because you cannot see it in the mirror.
- If there are no vehicles behind or next to you, give a left blink and move into the left lane calmly and at the same speed
After moving to the left field and completing the overtaking process, you must return to the right field and must not remain in the left field
When you return to the right field, follow the same steps mentioned for overtaking: center mirror, side mirror, dead corner, dimple, and move to the right.
The left field is used for emergency and police vehicles, and overtaking is permitted, but continuing to drive in the left field is prohibited
You will likely receive a fine if the police stop you for this reason.
Overtaking must be at the same speed as you are, and you do not have the right to increase your speed in order to complete the overtaking process quickly
The vehicle you wish to overtake is already traveling at a slower speed than the scheduled speed on the road
During your practical exam, if you accelerate while driving or overtaking, consider yourself a failure
If you have a car malfunction that forces you to stop, you must be calm and direct your car to the right side of the road
Turn right and stop on the right side of the road, as most highways have a good road margin
You can stand in it and turn on the notification light (quadruple) using the button bearing this drawing
Place the warning triangle at an appropriate distance to alert the rest of the traffic.
On the highway you will find basic plates and symbols, including the following:
There will be a small yellow sign that symbolizes the exit number and also means that the road is international
Outlet panel
The exit plate is placed in front of the exit at an approximate distance of 250 metres
It will have the name of the city written on it and when you see it in case you want to go
From this exit, stay to the right and prepare to exit when you see the next sign :
When you see from afar in the exit small panels such as the following panel:
These small blue and yellow signs mean that the turn is sharp
Then be very careful and slow down at the appropriate time.
Secondly, I will explain about driving on the agricultural highway
The agricultural highway often consists of one driving field and intersects with roads, and it may have branches of an additional driving field that allow drivers to overtake, and it extends for some hundreds of metres. It returns to one driving field without additional fields, and the maximum speed is 100 km per hour, and it may or may not have a dividing barrier, and this for example
Crossroads on the agricultural highway
Additional tree field
Notice the red arrows when the barrier ends in the middle of the road. You will be alerted by a sign that you will meet oncoming traffic
If you want to turn left at the next intersection on the agricultural highway, you must prepare yourself in advance and explain to the person walking behind you your intention to turn. This must be done by giving a left blinker before an appropriate time and adjusting your speed in preparation for the turn. You must also enter the lane designated for the turn. On the left, this is an example image
عWhen you approach an intersection on the agricultural highway, pay more attention, look closely, and remain alert.
When you want to turn around and return, do not use the slots designated for turning left
Use the designated places for this, called the detour or the Spanish turn
