Many people or new drivers do not know the difference
Between parking and stopping, here this will be explained in a simple and easy way

When you want to stop on the side of the road for a passenger to board with you or to load or unload items from the car
This is called a Stanna stop, and the stop is for a few moments and to do something, as I mentioned to you, for a passenger to board or to load or unload items from the car.

Everything other than what is mentioned above is Parkera
This means that when you are waiting for someone, making a phone call, or waiting for someone to come to you, you are considered to have parked the car
Even if you are sitting in the car waiting and leave the car engine running, this is not considered a Stanna stop and is considered a Parkera

Also, parking is not considered in all of the following cases:

  • She stopped to let pedestrians cross
  • She stopped to let the bikes pass
  • I stopped at a red light
  • You stopped because of a car in front of you
  • You stopped for a reason beyond your control

Parking is prohibited in the following cases:

  • When a traffic light is blocked
  • When a traffic sign is blocked
  • At turns and entrances
  • On the open roads ahead
  • At the entrances to buildings and garages
  • On highways and highways
  • Parking inside tunnels is prohibited
  • Parking on pedestrian crossings is prohibited
  • Parking and stopping at roundabouts is prohibited
  • When there is a solid yellow line
  • In a buffer or prohibited area
  • Parking in places for people with special needs is prohibited
  • It is prohibited to park in the opposite direction of traffic on a one-way road

You are allowed to stop or park in the following places unless otherwise stated

  • 10 meters before the pedestrian crossing so as not to block the crossing and oncoming pedestrians and bicycles
  • Immediately after the pedestrian crossing, the crossing is open and there is no danger to passers-by
  • 10 meters before intersections so as not to block the road and traffic signs
  • On the side of the road, provided that the distance to the continuous line is at least 3 metres
  • In designated parking spaces on main roads, you will find a blue plate with the letter P on it
  • At a bus stop to board or drop off a passenger, provided that the movement of the bus is not impeded
  • 20 meters before the bus stop and 5 meters after the bus stop
  • 30 meters before a railway crossing

We come to the stop and parking signs. Of course, we must mention here that these are additional signs that are attached below the main sign. An example of this is the blue sign to specify the time for parking, and outside of the times listed therein you are not permitted to park. As for the yellow sign, it is a prohibition sign, and the times recorded on it mean forbidden and therefore no. You have the right to park in it, and it will be accompanied by a sign forbidden to park or forbidden to park and stop together, and if there is something additional other than what is mentioned in them, it will also be mentioned below these signs.

Times are in the yellow panel

  • The black numbers in the first line mean parking is prohibited on normal working days from 16-18
  • The black numbers between parentheses are prohibited from parking on the days preceding official holidays from 10 – 18
  • Red numbers without brackets are prohibited from parking on Sundays and official holidays from 10-16

Only outside these times are you allowed to park and stop

 Times in blue board

  • The first line allows parking on normal working days from 8 to 17 hours
  • The second line between parentheses allows parking from 8 to 14 hours on the days preceding the holiday
  • The third line, which is red, allows parking on Sundays and official holidays from 8 to 13

It is forbidden to park on the street

The sign means that it is forbidden to park on all streets except in designated places, and the prohibition applies to the street and the area unless it is proven otherwise.

  • Marital history: It is prohibited to park cars near buildings with even numbers (for example 4, 18, 20, etc.).
  • Individual history: It is prohibited to park cars near buildings with odd numbers (for example 5, 15, 17, etc.).

This system is implemented so that work vehicles, such as garbage transport vehicles, street works vehicles, etc., can operate freely
Without obstacles or cars hindering their movement.

It is forbidden to park cars here because the place is designated for loading and unloading goods and vehicles transporting goods.

End of download location

The sign indicates the end of the loading and unloading area and you can park after it unless otherwise indicated.

A place to turn around

It is forbidden to park here because the place where the sign is located is designated for turning around and you must return to your way.

Sometimes the signs are accompanied by additional plates
These signs explain when and where the reference to the upper basic sign applies, and I will provide you with examples of that here.

It is forbidden to park before the sign

It is forbidden to park after the sign

It is forbidden to park before and after the sign

The ban applies within the stated times

The ban applies to trucks

It is forbidden to park or stop during the stated time

Pay attention when choosing a parking place and check carefully that parking is free in the place, and when you see the machine and the blue plate, this means that parking in the place is for a fee, and you must buy a ticket so that you are not subject to a financial fine. The blue plate is to indicate the times during which the parking ban is in effect. Sometimes it is within specific times, and sometimes the parking ban is around the clock.  You also do not have the right to use the parking lots of residents living in the area, which are numbered, and this also exposes you to a fine.

If you want to stop at a designated bus stop on a main or secondary road, stop at the front of the field so as not to obstruct the bus’s movement.

If you want to stop in the designated place, stand in front to leave room for other vehicles to enter without obstructing their movement.

Advent time disc
In some parking lots, there is a sign or sign indicating that you are allowed to park for a specific period of time within the sign
She explains that you must use the dial and specify the time you came

If you do not have a tablet, you can simply write your arrival time on a piece of paper, specify the time you arrived, and place the paper clearly on the dashboard.

There are also some places where you are not allowed to park and stop, and they are marked with yellow lines. See the following:

Parking is prohibited

It is forbidden to park cars when there is a broken yellow line, but it is allowed to stop to pick up or drop off a passenger

Support and confirmation lines

It is forbidden to park or stop in the presence of these lines, which confirm the other yellow lines.

Parking and stopping are prohibited

The solid yellow line means parking and stopping are prohibited, and it is drawn on the edge of the sidewalk.
