The eyes and vision are among the most important features that a human being possesses
Because by looking you get approximately 90% of the information and details that take place in traffic.
It is also a condition for obtaining a driving license that your visual acuity be at least 0.5.

If you have a problem with your eyesight or weakness, you can obtain a conditional driving license by using your glasses.

Visual range:

The field or limits of sight is everything we see by looking as far forward as we can see, and it can be seen in the range of 20 to 40%.

Focused view:

Focusing your gaze on a specific point, for example a traffic sign, a sign, or a person on the road. This is called focused gaze
You can see 2 to 5% by focusing, that is, you are looking at one specific point.

Look around you:

Moving vision is peripheral vision, or surrounding vision, or your looking forward and to all sides, right and left, and through peripheral vision you can see everything that is happening around you.
You can detect movements or potential dangers better and earlier, and peripheral vision makes you see 70 to 90% of what is happening around you.

  • Visual range You can see that 20 to 40% is all the points in the picture ABC
  • Looking around What you see in the picture ABCD means all squares with sides, and you see about 70 to 90%.
  • Focused view You see between 2 and 5%, which is what you see in the small red box
When driving a vehicle, details are collected by your vision and sent to the brain to translate them and predict their result
Accordingly, it is translated into your actions and reactions in different situations

Things and concepts you must realize and know:

  • Knowledge and discovery : You must be informed and knowledgeable about everything that is going on around you, and this can be done through moving vision.
  • Safety and priorities : Your mind chooses to focus on the most important things and on moving elements to avoid running into dangers.

Drivers’ characteristics:

  • The new driver does not have to move his gaze to discover what is going on around him, but focuses his gaze in front of the car and at one point.
  • An experienced driver’s gaze moves to discover the surroundings and his gaze is forward, away from the car.
  • The new driver does not give importance to moving elements because he discovers them late because his vision is immobile.
  • An experienced driver gives great importance to moving elements, such as pedestrians, because his vision is mobile and he anticipates the danger that may occur.
  • When all drivers drink alcohol, their field of vision becomes narrower and shorter and they are not able to detect dangers.

Tunnel or spectral vision:

This vision occurs due to high speed, fatigue, alcohol, in addition to tension and nervous effort, and detecting the surroundings becomes poor.
The driver is unable to detect objects or elements surrounding him and does not see traffic signs or details on the street.
