On Swedish roads and streets, there are top priorities, which are always given to emergency vehicles such as police, ambulances, and fires

But not in all cases, priority and facilitation of passage are given only when the car is on duty and illuminates with blue and alternating light

Not always when you see a police car, ambulance, or fire car, you give it priority and facilitate its passage, but only if it flashes blue and makes a sound.

Police car

You should always give way to the police and facilitate their passage when you see them flashing blue

Ambulance

You must give priority to the ambulance and facilitate its passage when you see it flashing blue

Fire truck

You must give priority to the fire engine and facilitate its passage when you see it flashing blue

The driver becomes terrified or confused when he sees an emergency vehicle approaching him, whether from the front, sides, or behind him. He sees it through his mirror.
Especially new drivers who do not know how to behave. Here I will mention some useful things that will help you if you find yourself in similar situations

First, you must know that emergency vehicles have the right to cross the roads
In various circumstances, she has the right to pass red traffic lights as well

When you see an emergency vehicle coming from behind you and flashing blue on the highway
You must not be in the left lane and must move to the right lane immediately Make way for it because it is moving at high speed and it is an emergency
Note: It is not permissible to drive in the left lane on the highway continuously or permanently. The lane is only for overtaking and facilitating passage, and you return to the right lane after that.

When you are driving your car and stop at a red light, and suddenly you see an emergency vehicle coming from behind
It flashes in alternating blue, then you have to make room for it in the best way, for example
Approach forward or drive your car to the side depending on the road condition or space available to you.

Other cases: You are standing at an intersection and see an emergency vehicle coming
Whether from the front or the opposite side, or from the right and left, or even from behind, in this case, stay where you are for a few moments until the car passes.
Perhaps she will head the same way as you, and if she advances, you may cause obstruction to her, so it is best for you to remain where you are for only a few moments until the car passes.
